Bingo Halls Rue the Smoking Ban

6th Aug 2007

Bingo halls throughout Britain are having to put up a fight to stay in business as customers are fleeing from the halls since the smoking ban came into effect. Income at the bingo halls has fallen dramatically in England, Scotland and Wales since their respective bans came into force. Bingo goers used to be able to light up while they played and would play on the slot machines during intervals. But now those that still turn up are using the intervals to smoke and are not playing on the machines. Is just adds to the problem of the falling numbers in Britain’s bingo halls. Maybe this decline in people playing at bingo halls will increase the numbers of online bingo, players?
