Three local bingo winners scoop £160,000

20th November, 2007

Three lucky bingo players from Leigh are celebrating winning more than £160,000 in three weeks. Players from BJ’s Bingo Club in Leigh celebrated the latest lucky winner from the club after the deputy manager Jenny Brocklehurst announced a huge £90,150 win on Sunday.

A week before on the Sunday another player went home with £20,070 after a win on the National Bingo Game, also from Leigh. And the Tuesday before that, another player from the town won the huge £50,000 jackpot. A spokesman said: "All our winners have shouted house on the National Bingo Game, and to win the National Jackpot you have to be the lowest call in any of the 470 clubs playing nationwide, to win the £100,000 top prize and the club prize of £150."

Unbelievably, five of the numbers of her completed ticket came up in the BIG’N that night, meaning she was just one number away from taking the Silver Jackpot, worth an additional £120,000. She would have been the seventh winner of the silver jackpot since the game started in September, whilst the Platinum prize is yet to have its first winner to take the £1million bingo prize.
