The significance of bingo explored
21st December, 2007
The number of charities that have used bingo for fundraising is great and that’s not a coincidence, as bingo has a set of characteristics that make it great for events like that.
Aside from that a lot of the times bingo operators and bingo hall owners actually give some share of the profits to charities. One of the examples is Big Heart Bingo, when they gave 50% of their revenue to charity.
Pimbo haulage firm is another good example. They organised the bingo night where someone won an Xbox 360 and then gave 133 Christmas presents to the Skelmersdale and Up Holland Family Groups for deserving children in the area.
There are sites that permanently work by donating some share of the profit to charity. Big Heart Bingo asks people what charity they chose as soon as they register and the biggest vote winner charity will get the donation. Its free to register and any licensed organisations can do.
