Prison Sentence for Bingo Hall robbers

6th March, 2008

The Sheriff's office in St. Lucie County, South Florida, have described Angel Massas, 26, and Wallace Cowins, 30, as career criminals, following their recent trial regarding the robbery of a bingo hall.

They were sentenced in connection to an early morning robbery of a Bingo Madness club. Sheriff Ken Mascara described the events: "Massas and Cowins used a shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol when they robbed Bingo Madness. They smashed their way into the business, terrorized the seven people inside, stole money and other items and drove off."

Law enforcement officers turned up minutes later and pursued the two criminals until they bailed out of their grey van and ran into nearby woods. Shortly after they were caught and arrested.

They are now, almost four years later, being charged and face life imprisonment.
