LGA approves Microgaming’s new bingo software

28th July, 2008

Microgaming, a big-name developer of online bingo games and software, has announced that its new online bingo software has been approved by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, a licensing jurisdiction, in Malta.

The LGA has become a popular licensing authority with online bingo operators based in Europe and is also accepted by the UK’s advertising authorities, which means the new online bingo software should be launched soon without a hitch.

“Malta continues to be a growing hub of European gaming with a successful regulatory model and we have continued our significant investment in Malta by setting up various onsite servers,” said Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming. “These will not only enhance connectivity and resilience for online gaming, but also contribute to a superior experience for operators and players, alike. This provides Microgaming with the opportunity to offer our operators an additional gateway into the EU and we are delighted to add bingo to our licensed software offering.”

This new bingo gaming license for Microgaming is just an addition to the casino and poker licenses it has already received from the LGA. This will, however, allow Microgaming to offer bingo software to a base of operators in the European Union, which continues to grow.
