Great Granddad’s Lucky Day

A great granddad of 61 won £40,000 playing the National Bingo Game at the Majestic Club in the South Shields on Monday, January 14..
He started jumping around with his wife after receiving the news, considering that they both nearly left before the results were announced, as they had to wait for 20 minutes.
He completed the full house in 45 numbers after which he was confident he was going to get £120 prize.
It turned out he had the lowest call out of 470 clubs across England.
This is what the lucky winner said on the day: "We were already walking out the club when it was announced how much I had won. I was stunned. When we realized, we were both so pleased we started jumping about."
The father-of-four from Castletown, with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, admitted to enjoying the bingo game "every night for many years".
He is now thinking about house redecoration and some fresh furnishing to lighten up the atmosphere at home, as he is now retired and spends a little more time there than he used to.
