Granddad's lucky day

A 76-year old granddad, who preferred to stay anonymous, has started his new year with a great boost after winning a top prize of £90,000 in the Castle Club on Plymouth Street in Merthyr on December 22. He has been a member of the club for 50 years, since 2003.
His years of experience paid off when he managed to complete a full house before anyone else during the National Bingo Game that day.
He was playing with his sister-in-law in the club when his lucky numbers were announced.
He is indeed a very deserving man of that win, as aside from playing bingo for 50 years, he was also busy with his nice big family, which consists of 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The man was in a minor shock when the exciting announcement was made.
“I couldn’t believe it when they told me how much it was,” he said, “The reaction in the club was marvelous with everyone clapping and cheering me. I just couldn’t stop shaking and I still shake when I think about it now.”
When asked what his plans are for spending the big win, he wasn’t sure, but the only certain thing was the long waited for holiday he wants to take his wife on.
