Gary Barlow Hosts Bingo Bash!
14th January, 2010
All eyes were down, with dabbers at the ready, at Gary Barlow’s Bingo bash held to celebrate his tenth wedding anniversary. The take that star celebrated with some of his closest friends to mark the milestone date and laid on an extra special evening.
The singer took to his North West roots of the working men’s clubs hosting the evening for his celebrity clan. His band mates, Mark Owen and Howard Donald were early arrivals at the do on Tuesday, followed by Ashley Cole and his wife Cheryl. Chris Moyles then arrived with Lulu.
Friends from Gary’s comic relief Mount Kilimanjaro climb also attended the party which included: Fearne Cotton, Ronan Keating, Denise Van Outen and Alesha Dixon.
However, the venue couldn’t be further removed from your normal social club, as the Take That star hired a function room at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel and paid for guests to stay the night.
A source said: "Where Gary finds the time to organise everything is unbelievable. He spent a lot of money to make sure Dawn had a party to remember, treating her to a couple of nights in the hotel's most luxurious suite. All their closest pals were there to enjoy it. Gaz hosted the bingo, calling the numbers out. All the cards and dabbers were on their tables and they all got into the spirit of things. Beverley Knight, Denise Van Outen and Cheryl Cole all got a full house."
Howard and Mark stood up to give a speech, not leaving a dry eye in the house. All of the proceeds of the bingo were donated to Barnardo’s children’s charity.
