GTECH G2 Upgrade Bingo Network
13th January, 2010
14 UK Sites which are operating on the GTECH G2 International Bingo Network (IBN) have upgraded their online bingo and mini games with the G2 2.2 Software and have moved to the newly expanded network in order to take advantage of pooled liquidity across major European markets.
The initial migration includes UK brands: Yahoo! Bingo, Littlewoods, Butlins and Chit Chat Bingo. The larger network and linked game functionality will mean bigger pots and jackpots for players in addition to a full suite of mini games. For the operators the network will gain them access to an entertaining product with huge pooled international liquidity.
The IBN has more than 15,000 active daily players paying out more than €20,000,000 each month. 30% of sites on the network are from the UK, the migration of sites across six other European markets has begun and will be complete during the first quarter.
“European Bingo markets are growing rapidly and GTECH G2 now has the strongest footprint of any bingo operator in Europe,” said Alison Digges, Group Head of Bingo & Marketing at GTECH G2. “We offer operators instant access to huge pooled European liquidity to enable them to deliver the best bingo solution, with heavily localized content, across all major European markets.”
The recent 2.2 Bingo software release includes multi currency and linked games in addition to multicurrency free bingo rooms available throughout the day. Additionally there are 10 fully integrated mini games for players to stay entertained whilst playing bingo. With many markets pooling into the network, there will be a truly international feel so bingo fans can choose if they’d like to play in localized games or in multi currency games with players from around Europe in the English speaking ‘Euro Room’.
“This is a fantastic start to 2010. Going forward, we plan to upgrade our product quarterly and introduce a whole host of exciting new features throughout this year and beyond to provide a better player experience and higher lifetime values.” said Digges.
