Court Rules Bingo Winner Can Keep Jackpot

26th October, 2007

It as announced today that Tania Burnett has just won a legal battle that will allow her to keep her £101,211 jackpot that she won in Plymouth on a night out with her friends at a Gala Bingo Club. Tania, in her 20's won the battle after her friends accused of saying that she would share the winnings if any she won. It is said that they did discuss the matter but never had any actual written or verbal agreement in place. Her two friends then proceeded to launch a legal battle to get their share of the winnings. Th court ruled 'that a "casual conversation" a week before the women played on January 20, 2005, could not be legally binding'

He also stated "Miss Wilson and Miss Stacey's bare bones account of what they say was agreed scarcely stands as an agreement enforceable and binding in law." Tania agreed that they had discussed it at some point but that nothing had ever been agreed so she gets to keep all her winnings at a huge legal expense funded by taxpayers money
