A young couple were killed and two women badly injured on Sutton Bridge on their way to Wisbech bingo hall.
Richard Gilliatt, only 31, and his partner Suzanne Parker, 24, died from numerous injuries after leaving the A1101 Sutton Road around half past seven in Renault Clio last Friday.
The driver of the car, Lincolnshire woman, 20 years of age was Parker’s friend. Together with another passenger, a woman of 22 years, the driver was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
The young couple have been together only for 18 months, after meeting each other at Premier Foods in Sutton Bridge, where they both worked at that time.
Factory workers were very shocked and upset about what happened. “Our thoughts and condolences are with their families, to whom we will provide all the support we can at this difficult time," said a spokesperson.
