Canadian Bingo Software Gets UK License
15th January, 2008
Parlay Entertainment, the Canadian Online Bingo Software firm, has received a UK license, which allows it to develop and supply its product across UK. The licence was issued by the UK Gambling Commission through the Parlay Malta subsidiary.
This is what Steve Cook, company’s managing director for Europe said about the news: “We’re thrilled to have been granted a UK license. It means we’ll be able to continue serving our existing UK-based licensees as well as signing up new ones. We’re also pleased that we are currently the only online bingo developer to receive a remote gambling software license in the UK.”
Getting the license makes the company automatically responsible for obeying the rules of UK gambling world, such as newly introduced Gambling Act 2005 designed to protect UK online gambling from fraudsters, and underaged users accessing services. It is also fulfilling the function of keeping the industry open and fair.
Parlay is very popular and has a wide range of clients with at least 50 online bingo halls employing their software. The company is also planning on releasing their new online bingo game in the near future, “Parlay 5: Bingo Without Borders”.
