Bingo.com joins Ethoca to fight fraud
15th July, 2008
The online bingo provider Bingo.com has joined a community of companies to fight against online fraud in the online gaming industry, which has been spearheaded by Ethoca.
With the rise in new players turning to online games to get their fill instead of heading to land-based casino and bingo halls, the risk for fraud becomes greater every day. To combat this problem Ethoca has been the leading voice in collaborative fraud management, which allows companies to share information, which Bingo.com has recently joined.
“We consider it critical to share information to progress,” said Henry Bromley, CFO of Bingo.com. “Joining Ethoca’s collaborative fraud management community is a logical step for our business to fight fraud and enhance profitability.”
Bingo.com is one of the most visited online-bingo sites on the Internet, which is why it is a benefit for Ethoca and all companies in the community for the bingo operator to join.
“We are excited to have Bingo.com join as a member of the anti-fraud community,” said Andre Edelbrock, CEO of Ethoca. “With the growth in the online gaming community and increased customer-not-present transactions, Ethoca will help Bingo.com reduce the cost of fraud by leveraging the shared experiences of the community. Ethoca’s collaborative fraud management enables Bingo.com to tackle the on-going problem of online fraud and drive company profits forward.”
