Bingo Night Live to be taken off Air

25th November, 2008

We have all done it, stumbled in from the pub on a Friday night turned on the TV to watch Bingo night live. The hour long show was initially presented by Melinda Messenger however viewing figures were not high enough for the show to continue.

Player numbers were decent but few were prepared to spend money on tickets and cards.

ITV spokesman told Bingo News: “It was an interesting experiment but the viewing figures were not high enough and while the participation levels were okay in terms of people playing online, the numbers who actually wanted to play for cash was minuscule. The numbers just didn’t add up in commercial terms.”

Interactive Bingo has increased in popularity over the past year with sites such as Gala Bingo broadcasting live shows in conjunction with their online games. The presenters or CM's are often Celebrities and make the shows enjoyable and humorous.
