Betgenius hires a firm to review the business in time of online bingo boom
8th January, 2008
Betgenius, technological, data driven solutions provider for the sports betting industry was reported to have employed Arbuthnot Securities to carry out a business review with a target of £60 million sale.
Just now Sunday Times have released a report that states that online gaming analysts forecast industry consolidation. It can be confirmed to be a likely happening, seeing that there has been a number of online bingo halls and operators launching from the major European firms, specifically in the Scandinavian online bingo market that has been booming recently.
This could be explained by the failing land-based bingo market, due to the double taxation and a recent smoking ban. Many halls are shutting down due to the huge number of users beginning to favour online rather than offline bingo experience.
