A man was playing bingo, while being mourned for

28th January, 2008

The minute silence was held in memory of Jack Brooks, the war hero, while he was enjoying the bingo experience, alive!

Jack’s colleagues at his local council confused him with a council veteran with the same name, who passed away at 84.

They were paying their respects to the former commando of Stalybridge, Manchester, while he was calling bingo numbers at his nursing home.

Yesterday Jack expressed his feelings about the mistakes of his colleagues: “I’ve been a bit under the weather lately but I’m glad to say I’m not dead yet”.
