2008 Bingo World Championships Begin Preliminaries

14th November, 2007

As we all start to think about the holiday season heading our way, Starlight Bingo is already headfirst into the New Year. The 2008 bingo championships will begin preliminary rounds this November, and further preliminaries will be held in December and January. This year’s tournament is promised to be exciting and more lucrative than ever.

With a prize pool of $10,000 up for grabs, the tournament will consist of 23 games with the winning prize growing higher with each passing game. Games 1-15 will be played with any straight line being a winning board. The first prize will be $100 on the first game, and will rise with every game thereafter.

Games 16-21 are black-out games and the prizes will again be increasing with each new game. Games 22 and 23 are the big money games-with $1,000 and $5,000 payouts. In order to qualify for the final tournament and the last 23 games scheduled for Sunday, 16th March, a player must finish in the top 5 of one of the three preliminary tournaments.
