Spanish 21
If you are a blackjack fan but are craving a change of pace, Spanish 21 may be the game for you! The game has many similarities to blackjack; the main difference is the removal of all 10 point cards.
By removing the 10's there is an increase in the house's advantage. To make up for this Spanish 21 has profitable bonuses and additional rewards that even out the playing field.
Spanish 21 offers the following rules:
Most importantly the players 21 always beat the dealers 21
Usually 6 or 8 Spanish decks are used
Dealer may hit or stand on a soft 17
Player may double down on any number of cards
Players can surrender after doubling (forfeit, double-down rescue) player forfeits an amount equal to his original bet
A 5 card 21 pays 3 to 2, A 6 card 21 pays 2 to 1, a 7 card 21 pays 3 to 1 However the bonuses are not paid if the player doubled
A 6-7-8 or 7-7-7 of mixed suits pay 3 to 2, if they are the same suit they pay 2 to 1, and if they are spades they pay 3 to 1. Once again bonuses are not paid if the player doubled.
Suited 7-7-7 when the dealer has a seven face up pays $1000 for bets of $5-$24 and $5000 for bets of $25 or over.
