Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow when translated means, "make nine". The game originated thousands of years ago in china, people used to play with domino tile sets. Today it is more popular to play with cards. Pai Gow is a unique game, it takes an ancient pastime that was popular thousands of years ago and combines it with the poker.
The objective in Pai Gow poker is to create a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand from seven cards to beat both of the dealers corresponding hands. The 5-card hand (high) hand must rank higher than the 2-card (low) hand and both of the dealers hands must be beaten in order to win.
The cards are shuffled seven cards face down to all players and the dealer. The only hand you can make with the two-card hand is a pair of high cards while the standard poker hand rankings apply to the five-card hand.
The game uses one deck of cards with a joker. The joker in this game acts as a "bug" in a five-card hand it can be used to complete a straight or flush, if possible; otherwise it can act as an ace. In a two-card hand the joker always counts as an ace.
If both your hands beat the dealers hands you win your bet. If only one of your hands beats the dealer, then your bet is returned to you.
